From the Training Unit
By Glenna Ress, Training Officer

General Staff: Reminder, on Friday, October 30th MCCS will be hosting a six (6) hour credit training. The speaker is Anthony President and the title of his workshop is Filtering the Noise From Young Black Boys. Other community agency partners, such as JJC Staff, D&E staff and others will also be attending this workshop.

Employee Trainings: Everyone will notice when they go to the R.T.C. or elsewhere, there are new sign in sheets, as well as new evaluation forms. The line for social security numbers has been removed and now just month and day of birth, not the year, is required for the sign in sheet. The evaluation sheet will require you to fill out the line that says User ID: All this is, is the 2 digit month of your birthday, the 2 digit day of your birthday, your first initial of your legal first name and the first 5 characters of your legal last name.

For example Betty Johnson born on Feb.12 would be: 0212BJohns

Interns: Welcome Tracey Clinkscale. Tracey is a UPP student working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at YSU. She is very anxious to meet everyone and learn as much from us as she can. Welcome Tracey.

Employee Trainings: Christine Powell remains in the Family Service Department in Mercia Steven’s unit and Samantha Rotz is in the Intake Department working as an Intake Screener.

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.” - Maya Angelou
