Canfield Fair
"Something to Crow About"
September 2 - September 7, 2009
Glenna Ress working the Canfield Fair Booth
Our theme this year was “Get Aboard the
Adoption Train”. This year we promoted Child Abuse/Neglect
Prevention, Foster/Adoptive Parent Recruitment, Internet Safety
and the One Church, One Child Program.
We would like to extend a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Crouse Mills
True Value Store for providing us with the model train for our
Booth (for the 12th year!) & donating a model train for us to
raffle off to the Community! We had 843 entries and the winner of
the train is Olympia and Mya Phifer!
Thank you to all our staff that volunteered to work the booth! It
was a very successful year for our Recruitment efforts with 57
individuals signing up for information on how to become a foster
or adoptive family in Mahoning County! We are very proud of Cathy
Gagliardi, Family Services Chief Supervisor, who signed up 11
people during her shift! WAY TO RECRUIT CATHY!

Ohio's Waiting Children
|
|
A family is the most important thing a child
can have. Every child has a right to a permanent family – a family
where he or she can be loved, cared for, and kept safe.
Unfortunately in Ohio more than 3,500 children do not have a
family to call their own.
We need help finding families for these children. Mahoning County
has a great need for families that want to adopt children with
special needs, teens and sibling groups!
