More than 700 toys, bicycles, clothing, gift cards, food baskets and outerwear were donated by area businesses, churches and individuals to help the Mahoning County Children Services Board distribute Christmas gifts to its clients.

The board has conducted the distribution every December for the past 30 years.

Many of the families receiving the items depend on them and would not be able to provide gifts and food otherwise, the agency says.

Area donors include St. Charles Church, Victory Christian Center Liberty campus, Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, Bike Nashbar, Ryan Carpet, State Alarm, Taylor Kia, Platinum Services Construction Co., Mahoning County Child Support Enforcement Agency, Dobbins Elementary School, Choffin Career and Technical Center, Sandi’s Family Hair Care and various individuals.
